What are the Idaho 12ers?

Idaho is home to nine peaks over 12,000 feet, known as the Idaho 12ers. Most are clustered in the Lost River Range, with one in the Pioneer Mountains and another in the Lemhi Range. Some are straightforward alpine hikes, while others demand exposed Class 3 scrambling, loose rock, and serious route-finding.

This site is dedicated to helping hikers explore all of them. From Borah Peak and Diamond Peak to Leatherman, Hyndman, and beyond, you’ll find detailed guides, maps, GPX files, and practical tips for each mountain. You can view the complete list of peaks here.
